We headed on a little exploration trip of the Southwest. We had tickets to see the Yankees play in Phoenix on Monday - so we decided to take an extra day to stop in Flagstaff to see where Uncle Chris and Aunt Becca will call home.

We decided that they will fit in nicely to that Hippie Town! We really did like it there. We couldn't go home that way due to the fires that all started right when we arrived.
Next destination was Phoenix. Aunt Keri and Uncle Derek recently moved there - so we needed to check it out. We voted that they will host Thanksgiving (plus the 49ers play there that weekend)! We stayed at a great place that had lots and lots of pools! And a flag on your chair so that you don't have to move all day!

A good time was had by all - even Zane.

Yep, that is him in the water. He hates the water. But because Deacon was getting in, he didn't want to miss out on the fun.
We went to the Yankee game that night - oh, I guess the Diamondbacks were playing too. And they really played. They stomped on the Yankees 10 to 4. (Yankees did win the next two games.) Can you tell how high up are seats are?

We counted, we were up 104 steps. So we told the kids, we are not taking you down unless it is an emergency.
Three year old bladders are emergencies - 3 times!

We went home over Hoover Dam. The good news about the construction over the dam is that it takes so long you don't have to stop to check out the dam. The kids loved that they could keep saying the dam - and not get in trouble. They found really unique ways to describe the dam.
Hot and Fun Trip! Thanks to Uncle Derek for letting us intrude on your Father's Day and making you watch golf and thanks to Aunt Keri for making us a yummy dinner and hanging with us!

So sorry the Yankees lost (hee hee hee), but I'm sure it was a fun game - even with the 104 steps. Anywhere with flags on the chairs is good by me. Thank heavens for Glee - that got us through the home stretch on our road trip. Looks like you had fun!
Looks and sounds like you had a great time!
I love that I'm not the only one who takes pictures of my children BEFORE I resolve their issues. Looks like a great trip, where ever you stayed looks awesome!
Hey you! I saw your post on Tammy's blog...just wanted to say hi. Your kids are adorable! Looks like things are going well for you. Glad you enjoyed your trip down our way...My hubby was at that same Yankees game...he said it was CRAZY! I'd love to chat adoption stories sometime. Much Love... Tiffany Thomas (Hislop)
