Summer Events

July - The summer can be really hot here - so going somewhere cooler is always nice. We headed up to Layton in July to visit family and friends.

It started with a get together lunch with high school friends Shari, Kathleen, Me, Katee, & Kristin. It had been way to long since we had all been together. Thanks for Katee always getting the girls together when she comes up from Arizona.

So it was total luck that Lisa and I had both planned to be up in Layton the same week. Made it super fun for all the kids.

We finally decided to celebrate the kids birthdays (Jaedon's was June, Mattie's was April - but I was on time for Zane's in August)! The theme was National Dance Day! Mattie was in charge of decorations and Jaedon was in charge of the tunes. Mattie worked for a week on making disco balls. Had I known how much time of hers it would occupy - I would have thrown a party every week.

August - Annual Camping Trip to Palisades. It was eventful this year. The days were fabulous - but the nights were so bad with all the wind and rain. We woke up one morning to see trees down from the night before.

After camping, we headed up to American Fork to spend Troy and Keri's birthday with Grandma and Papa. While Papa, Jaedon, and Troy golfed...Mattie, Zane and myself headed up to Salt Lake for lunch with Jer and shopping for school clothes.

The busy month had just started and it was another birthday (the 4th birthday celebration - and incidentally his 4th Birthday as well). Zane wanted a "little" cake for his birthday - since he is our little dude.

And our favorite event of August - School Starting!
