Memorial Day

I love Memorial Day. Being a genealogy freak...I love visiting cemeteries. I'm always a little sad that we are not in an easy traveling distance to visit the cemeteries of my loved ones. But Jaedon solved that this year. He drew me a picture this morning of my Dad's grave. I have lots of pictures of his headstone, but this is the best one. My kids always look for the apple, then they know that they are at the right grave.

A couple of years ago I was able to take one of my favorite trips. It was a genealogy trip with a friend that was researching her husband's ancestors. It took us back to New York and New Jersey. The cemeteries there are loaded with American History.
